EIG14T Gives Back: Durso Park Cleanup in Chicago
At EIG14T, our commitment to Enriching Communities Through Real Estate extends beyond the projects we deliver. It’s also about investing in the neighborhoods where we live and work. This year, our Chicago office participated in the Pitch In For the Parks program, joining volunteers to help clean up Durso Park.
Community Impact
From June through September, our team took part in multiple cleanup days to collect litter, remove hazardous debris like broken glass, and connect with local park-goers about the importance of maintaining safe community spaces. Six members of our EIG14T Chicago office participated, alongside several other group volunteers. Together, these groups worked to improve the cleanliness and safety of the park for the hundreds of families who visit each week.
Why It Matters
Durso Park is more than just green space. It features a tot lot, playground, basketball court, and dog park, making it a vital hub for children, families, and neighbors. During our time there, we met parents, kids, community leaders, and even visitors from out of state who shared their appreciation for the effort. Over the course of the week, we noticed a significant decrease in litter, which was an encouraging sign that cleanup efforts can help foster pride and stewardship within the community.
“Volunteering to clean up our neighborhood park is more than just picking up trash — it’s investing in a shared space where children can play, neighbors can connect, and community pride can grow.” Adele Flechsig, Investor Relations Manager | EIG14T.
Looking Ahead
We believe giving back means more than writing checks. It also means showing up. Initiatives like the Durso Park Cleanup allow us to strengthen bonds with our neighbors while supporting the health and vitality of the communities we serve.
EIG14T is proud to have been part of this effort, and we remain committed to supporting programs that enrich communities and create lasting impact.
