Pat Fenton was the origin of opportunity for EIG14T. He is a true rags to riches story and has selflessly served as a mentor to countless people throughout his journey. Pat has served as a business operator and investor for over 40 years with many noteworthy achievements. He successfully founded Rainbow Childcare Centers in 1986, leading the company from its inception to the delivery of its 150th location. During that time, he sold the company 3 times to private equity groups and then ultimately to KinderCare. Pat also led the purchase of Crest Marine during the challenging economic time of 2008, taking the business from an annual production of 200 boats a year to more than 3,000 boats a year before successfully selling to Mastercraft. His list of professional achievements continues to grow as he is currently invested in over 10 different businesses, several of which he serves as a board member.
Pat may appear to focus solely on business, but his true passion is his family. He has been happily married to his wife Laura for over 40 years. Together they have 4 sons, all of whom have followed in their father’s path of becoming entrepreneurs and are the proud grandparents of 3. In the few hours he is not working or watching his grandchildren, Pat enjoys hunting with his sons, cleaning his garage, and looking after his hobby farm.
